A long time fan of the Cool Kids, I anticipate their mixtape drops. If you don't know by now, they are bringing hip hop back. Go get that Gone Fishin mixtape NOW Myspace.com/thecoolkids. Courtesy of Alessandro Lanzillotta
Here I go with our very first Artist of the month. I found Federica's work on Behance.net and found she's has an awesome collection of work under her belt. Federica Bonfanti, 22, from Milan, Italy says " I'm just a girl in love with beautiful things." Her main inspiration for her work comes from film directors such as BazLuhrmann, Jean Pierre Jeunet, Tim Burton, Wes Anderson, and Sofia Coppola. She states "If you look you can see that they're all about how the movie looks, the imaginarium, the style, you can watch a movie you don't know and say "omg this is Jean Pierre Jeunet's!". She' doesn't know why she's not already working with film, but I say go for it! Keep up the awesome work Federica, your the first Officially Certified Fly Artist of the month!
Here are some really sick tee's, just simple linework straight out of a sketchbook, totally random stuff going on but I love it. Unfortunately these are just concepts. Ksenia Azimova from Moscow, Russia designed these for a friends birthday. Keep rockin hot t-shirt concepts Ksenia!
Now, legally I am not allowed to say that if you were to type these tracks in your google toolbar (for us Mac users that is :D) some of these tracks may appear for D/L, so I'm not going to tell you to do that, because that would be wrong. This week we're exploring a range of different flyness' from classics to new shit, from Hip Hop to Rock to International music. Broaden your Flyrizons.
Here's 12 of the 500 tracks I'm listening to this week.
50 Cent - I'll Do Anything
Spinnerette - Ghetto Love
Wale - Pretty Girls
Queens of the Stone Age - The Hollow
Jay-Z - D.O.A.
The Beatles - I Want You
Drake - Think Good Thoughts
Frank Sinatra - The Summer Wind (Fat Thanx to Gianfranco for raising me on Sinatra)
KRS One - Underground
Robin Thicke - Teach You A Lesson
Rich Boy - Up & Down
Joao Gilberto - Bim Bom - (Bossa Nova, old school brazilian jazz...go get the discography)
On a side note, I've been a long time Beatles hater. I went and got the discography, went through a sack, and
listened with an open mind. I've been converted (no homo). The Beatles are the shit. R.I.P. MJ.
